One of the saddest things for an artist is to admit that their project has been untouched for 6 months. But I am not sad!
SONHOS, the animation short film that is being reported on in this newsletter, is on-hold but not dead. That is a promise. It is on-hold because an opportunity came up - a comic contest. It’s a contest run by Webtoons, a vertical-comic-reading platform, and I had a script sitting in google docs waiting to be turned into something. Due to a small tiny burn-out on the animation project, I decided to join the contest with this story, and that is what I have been working on for the past 3 months.
Since the comic is a short-term project, which will probably be over in another 3 months, SONHOS will very likely be finished in 2025 still. So, if animation is all you want to read about, sit tight! It is coming soon. Meanwhile, why not revisit some old posts about SONHOS?
If, however, you are also a comic enthusiast or romance reader or like whimsical storybook-y art, check out “The Princess’s Knights”! I am super proud of the story and drawings and it has been recharging my artistic drive immensely. I might write about it soon.
If you are indeed a comic enthusiast and want to see more on its creation, I’m posting tiny videos on YouTube about it.
Thank you so much for subscribing to Studio Diary! My desire is to make animation and drawing in general accessible to all who wish to learn it.
If you have any questions, about anything, please feel comfortable to comment.
Thank you so much for reading,
have a magical day!
